ବିଭିନ୍ନ ପ୍ରକାରର ବିଚାର ଓ ମତବିନିମୟ ତ ଚାଲିଛି କିନ୍ତୁ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଏକ ସ୍ଵାଧୀନ ଦେଶ ହେଉ ବୋଲି ଦାବୀ କରିବା ପାଇଁ କାହାରି ଜିଭରେ ହାଡ଼ ନାହିଁ। ଭାଷା ଯେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଜାତିର ମୂଳଦୁଆ ଓ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଆଉ ଅନ୍ୟ ଭାଷାଭାଷୀ ମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ବାରା ଶାସିତ ହେବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ନୁହେଁ, ଏ ପ୍ରକାର ସ୍ବାଭିମାନ ବିରଳ। ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଆଉ କେତେଦିନ ଧର୍ମଶାଳା ହୋଇ ରହିବ?

ସମଗ୍ର ଉତ୍ତର ଭାରତରେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଏକମାତ୍ର Classical language ବୋଲି କେତେଜଣ ଜାଣିଛନ୍ତି? ଓଡ଼ିଶା ପାଇଁ କେତେବଡ ଗର୍ବର ବିଷୟ ଅଥଚ ଅନ୍ୟ ଭାଷାମାନେ ଗାଦୀମାଡି ବସିଛନ୍ତି। Odia must get its rightful place in the national scene. It should be declared as the link language and its script become an additional one

ଭାଷା ଓ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ଦିଇଟା ଅଲଗା ଜିନିଷ। ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ସମ୍ରୁଦ୍ଧ କିନ୍ତୁ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷା ଵିପନ୍ନ। People are not much concerned about this imminent danger or feel it doesn't matter. Celebrity hype or religious angles appeal more. Demography must receive attention for giving Odia due protection.
ଅନ୍ୟ ଭାଷାଭାଷୀ ମାନେ ପଶି ଆସିବା ଫଳରେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷାର ଗାରିମା ଆଉ ବଞ୍ଚିବ କେମିତି? So, there has to be some amount of coercion for preservation of Odia as a language and a script.

ଶିକ୍ଷିତ ଓ ସମ୍ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ମାନଂକ ପାଇଁ ଅନ୍ୟ କିଛି ରାସ୍ତା ନଥିଲା। BJP ପ୍ରଚାରରେ ବି ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ ହେବା ବିଚିତ୍ର ନୁହେଁ। ଜାମାଯୋଡ ହୋଇ ବିଭିନ୍ନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ମାନଂକୁ ଯିବାପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ଯ ମଜା ଲାଗିଲା। Having mortgaged the intelligence to the TV, the deeper issues failed to stir the conscience of Odia elite.
ସଂସ୍କୃତ ସହ ଓଡ଼ିଆର ଗହନ ସମ୍ପର୍କ। ସଂସ୍କୃତ କଥିତ ଭାଷା ହୋଇ ବଞ୍ଚିବାର ଆଶା କମ୍। ଓଡ଼ିଆ କିନ୍ତୁ ବଞ୍ଚିବ। Those who bat for Sanskrit are fighting a loosing battle and misguiding others. Odia is the real alternative to Sanskrit. Apart from vocabulary and pronunciation, Odia script most elegant.
ଇତିହାସ ଓ ଭୂଗୋଳ ପରି ଭଵିଷ୍ୟତ ବି ସବୁ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଅଲଗା ନହେଲେ ସିମୁଲେସନ ଗଣନା ସଫଳ ହୁଅନ୍ତା।
ଓଡ଼ିଶା ରାଜନୀତି ଆଗରୁ ସଫାସୁତୁରା ଥିଲା କିନ୍ତୁ ବଂଶବାଦ ପଶିଯିବା ପରେ ସବୁ ବିଭ୍ରାଟ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ଅନ୍ୟ ପକ୍ଷରେ ଧର୍ମାଂଧତା ପ୍ରଭାବରେ ଶିକ୍ଷିତ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ଚିନ୍ତାଧାରା ବିକ୍ରୁତ ହଉଛି। Thus, it's a challenge to protect the good name of Odisha and safeguard Democratic values. When each Odia will feel empowered?
But it's not the question of language alone. ଜଣେ ଲୋକ କେଉଁ ମତବାଦରେ ବିଶ୍ବାସ କରୁଛି ବା କୋଉ ଦଳକୁ ସମର୍ଥନ ଦେଉଛି, ତା ଗୁରୁତ୍ବପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ। ଦେଶ ଓ ଜାତୀୟତାର ଦ୍ବାହି ଦେଇ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ମାନଂକୁ ଯେପରି ଵାଟବଣା କରାଯାଉଛି ତାହା ନିଂଦନୀୟ। BJDକୁ ହଟେଇବା ମାନେ ନୁହେଁ BJP କବଳରେ ପଡିବା। Savitri Era Party ବିକଳ୍ପ ଅଟେ।
Whether to tweet in Odia or in English is a dilemma but it depends on one's profile and likely audience. As so called national news affects everyone through TV, people usually don't give much importance to local matters. କିନ୍ତୁ ଏକଥା ସତ ଯେ ଓଡ଼ିଆରେ ଲେଖିଲେ ହିଁ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷା ଵଂଚି ରହିବ।

Each State in India should serve and preserve a single language, like Odia in Odisha. One needs to be a bit rigid on this score otherwise local languages will perish. Puritanism must score over Democracy here.
Being an Odia, my concern is for Odia and Odisha only. It's a survival issue and so, being parochial and protective is legitimate in this context. Formation of new States/Nations can't be ruled out but many languages, like rice varieties, will be extinct.

Fond hope of India nurturing all its languages is a chimera. Only the States as Sovereign nations can cultivate pride in respective tongues.
Internet brought revolution to music but in Odia we are still in the 'Kankala' stage. A handful of pioneers had done some good work, but the dedicated manner in which archived old songs is unique and unprecedented. He has also acquired a lot of historical information.
